Man Faces Criminal Charges In Fraternity Trespass

A Williamsport man is now in jail and faces felony criminal trespass charges after police say he entered a fraternity Saturday uninvited for the second time this month.

According to the Daily Collegian, State College Police responded Saturday to the Delta Chi fraternity, located at 424 East Fairmount Avenue, after members of the fraternity reported Vernon Stafford, 29, entered the residence uninvited with a gun.

Fraternity members told police that Stafford then got into an argument with members concerning an incident that occurred at the fraternity two weeks ago.  Stafford was taken into police custody, no gun was found on Stafford.

Stafford's bail was set at $2,500 cash bail and will appear for a preliminary hearing today.   (Read More)
