More Charges Against Philipsburg Physician

Dr. Larry Adams, the Philipsburg physician leading the effort to re-open the Philipsburg Hospital, was arraigned Tuesday on felony counts related to drug prescriptions.
According to a Centre Daily Times report, Adams, 48, faces felony charges of prescribing outside accepted treatment principles and criminal conspiracy to acquire or obtain possession of a controlled substance by fraud. Misdemeanor charges of prescribing to a drug-dependent person and refusal or failure to keep required records were also filed.
In June, Adams was indicted on 42 counts related to prescription drugs. Adams is free on bail. (More info) |
