More Than $6,000 in Possessions, Credit Card Reported Stolen in State College

Items worth $6,530 and a credit card were reported stolen Sunday morning from a borough residence, State College police said.

The burglary call came at 8:22 a.m. from 245 E. Hamilton Ave., according to a police report. Someone used the stolen credit card later to make nearly $1,000 in fraudulent purchases at the North Atherton Street Wal-Mart, police said.

No other details were immediately available Monday. Police said an investigation is ongoing.
