Mount Nittany Health Relocating COVID-19 Test Collection Site

by on June 11, 2020 1:16 PM

Mount Nittany Health will relocate a State College area COVID-19 test collection site beginning Monday.

The collection site currently located at the Mount Nittany Health-Blue Course Drive facility will move to the Mount Nittany Medical Center parking garage.

Operated in conjunction with Penn State Health, the new location will continue to be a drive-through collection site, allowing patients to be tested without leaving their vehicles. Samples are then sent to a commercial lab.

Test collections are by appointment only for COVID-19 symptomatic patients of Mount Nittany Physician Group, Penn State Health or individual providers who have been directed to the site by their primary care provider.

Testing will be done on the ground level of the garage between noon-4 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

“As we safely resume services throughout the health system, we continue to take steps to ensure that our patients and community have access to resources needed during this time,” Dr. Christopher Hester, clinical chief officer for primary care services, said in a news release. “You can be assured that we remain here for you, focused on your health and wellness, providing care in a way that keeps everyone safe.”
