Mount Nittany Medical Center Hosts 'Heroes Parade' to Honor Health Care Workers

A steady line of emergency vehicles rolled through the Mount Nittany Medical Center campus on Friday to honor health care workers and first responders during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The parade, part of Mount Nittany Health Week, began at noon with police cars, fire trucks and ambulances traveling on Hospital Drive and around the medical center as hospital staff and some community members with signs of support looked on.

Participating organizations included Bellefonte, Penn State and State College police; Boalsburg, Centre Hall, Howard, Pleasant Gap, Undine and Walker Township fire companies; Bellefonte, Centre LifeLink, Mount Nittany, Pleasant Gap and Snow Shoe EMS.
