The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for State College in effect until 10 p.m. Sunday night.

It is estimated that up to two inches of rain has fallen over the past hour, and some flooding could begin shortly.

Along with rain, there has been a line of strong thunderstorms resulting in several flashes of lightning. Wind gusts could reach as high as 40 mph.

Two specific areas that could be impacted are the Pennsylvania Military Museum in Boalsburg and Tussey Mountain.

Drivers should proceed carefully as roads could be flooded, and anyone outside should seek shelter immediately.
