One Dead After Crash on Route 322 in Centre County

One person died following a crash on Monday afternoon on U.S. Route 322 in Potter Township, according to the Centre County Coroner’s Office.

The crash happened just before 3 p.m. on the 2000 block of General Potter Highway in the area of the #1 Cycle Center Harley Davidson, when an SUV collided with a tractor trailer. The road was closed in both directions between Old Fort and Route 144 for several hours and fully reopened at about 7:30 p.m. 

Traffic was detoured onto Route 45 while the road was closed.

Pennsylvania State Police, State College police, Centre LifeLink EMS, Centre Hall and Boalsburg fire companies and Gregg Township and Alpha fire police responded to the scene.
