by on December 16, 2013 1:43 PM

Update: 5:00 p.m. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory, effective from midnight Monday until 8 a.m. Tuesday.

It looks like the State College area will get one more round of snow before temperatures warm up this weekend, according to AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Tom Kines.

"Another round of snow will be coming in later tonight into the early part of tomorrow," Kines said.

Between Monday night into Tuesday morning 1 to 2 inches of snow may accumulate.

"We're not expecting any big storms," Kines said.

Temperatures are expected to remain in the 30s on Tuesday and Wednesday before rising Thursday, Friday and over the weekend.

"It does look like a stretch of mild weather is heading our way," Kines said.

While temperatures are expected to reach the 50s at the end of the week, rain is also predicted for the weekend.
