Charges of sexual abuse have been filed against former Penn State football assistant coach Jerry Sandusky, the Harrisburg Patriot-News reported Friday afternoon.

Sandusky also is the founder of The Second Mile, a nonprofit organization focused on assisting children and youth in need.

"The charging paperwork has not yet made it to the District Magistrate Judge's office in Centre County," Patriot-News reporter Sara Ganim wrote in her piece, posted at 2:26 p.m. "However, felony charges of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse of someone under 16, aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault of someone under 16, indecent assault of someone under 13, and corruption of minors charges have been filed in the state court docket system."
