Authorities in Patton Township are investigating following an armed robbery at the Radio Shack.

Patton Township Police Chief John Petrick told StateCollege.com the incident happened about noon Tuesday at the electronics store off of North Atherton Street.

Petrick says an unidentified man entered the store armed with a handgun and demanded money.

Authorities describe the suspect as a black male with short dreadlocked hair, who is in his early 20s, is between 5-feet 10 inches and 6-feet tall, and was wearing a long white T-shirt and blue jeans.

Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

Anyone with information regarding the incident can contact the Patton Township Police Department at 814-234-0271

"There's always a concern when there's any type of robbery, more so when an individual enters a store with a handgun," says Petrick. "We are going to do everything we can to solve this case."
