Paul McCartney To Perform First-Ever Central Pennsylvania Concert At Jordan Center

by and on August 25, 2015 10:11 AM

Music legend Paul McCartney is coming to the Bryce Jordan Center on Thursday, Oct. 15 on his ‘Out There’ tour.

The concert was announced this morning by the Jordan Center, and tickets will run from $29.50 – $167.00 for the 8:00 p.m. show.

McCartney’s illustrious career has taken him to Moscow’s Red Square, Buckingham Palace, and the White House, but this will be McCartney’s first-ever concert not only in State College, but in the Central Pennsylvania region.

He’s performed 22 shows this year in Asia, Europe, and elsewhere across the world. The ‘Out There’ tour will feature songs that span the entirety of his career — from a Beatle to solo ventures, to his most recent album NEW. McCartney’s shows take the audience on an emotional journey thanks to 50 years of musical experience.

“In just three hours some of the greatest moments from the last 50 years of music are relived, music which for many has shaped the very soundtrack of their lives,” the Bryce Jordan Center wrote on its announcement of the concert.

It also noted that the tour will provide the audience with a technological trip, thanks to extensive lasers, large screens, fireworks, and “unique video content.”

McCartney’s enjoyed a resurgence in 2015, thanks to a collaboration of ‘FourFive Seconds’ at the 57th Annual GRAMMY Awards with Rihanna and Kanye West. He inducted Ringo Starr into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and headlined several musical festivals including Firefly, Roskilde, and Lollapalooza.

Tickets will go on sale on Monday, August 31 at 10:00 a.m, and are available at the Bryce Jordan Center, Eisenhower Auditorium, Penn State Downton Theatre, here, or 1-800-745-3000. American Express users can by tickets on August 27.
