by on July 23, 2017 10:09 PM

Penn State basketball had some late July good news on Sunday night as 2018 Huntington Prep (Va.) point guard Rasir Bolton verbally committed to the Nittany Lions.

At 6-foot-3 and 170 pounds, Bolton chose Penn State over offers from VCU, Pittsburgh, Clemson, Virginia Tech, and Cincinnati, among other schools.

According to multiple recruiting services Bolton is rated an a four-star prospect and an 89 on the 247Network. Bolton is similarly rated across the the Rivals, Scout and ESPN networks as well.

Penn State now sits at two commitments for the 2018 class as Bolton joins shooting forward Myles Dread. The two player haul, still early in the cycle, currently ranks No. 19 nationally.
