Ten Nittany Lions have landed on Phil Steele's 2014 College Football Preview All-Big Ten teams that was released this week.

Four veteran Nittany Lions were named to Steele's Big Ten second team squad. Senior safety Adrian Amos, senior linebacker Mike Hull, junior cornerback Jordan Lucas and junior offensive tackle Donovan Smith are all on the second team unit.

Placekicker Sam Ficken, sophomore quarterback Christian Hackenberg, and senior defensive end C.J. Olaniyan were named to Steele's third team squad according to his news release.

Also earning pre-season All-Big Ten honors were junior defensive end Deion Barnes, junior tight end Jesse James and senior running back Zach Zwinak. All three players earned fourth-team accolades.

Hackenberg was selected the 2013 Big Ten Thompson-Randel El Freshman of the Year and a consensus second-team Freshman All-American. James, Lucas, Olaniyan and Smith earned honorable-mention All-Big Ten recognition last season.

Penn State returns 41 letterwinners and 15 starters this season with seven on offense and seven on defense. Ficken is the only returning starter on the specialist unit.
