Penn State Football: A-10 Warthogs Set For Pregame Flyover

by on September 07, 2017 11:50 AM

Penn State and Pitt won't be short on the pregame festivities this weekend prior to the 3:30 kickoff.

Two U.S. Air Force A-10 Warthogs will fly over the stadium following the national anthem at about 3:18 p.m. The planes will fly in from the south as they approach the stadium. Pilots Maj. Bryan Nickola and Maj. Ryan Yingling are Penn State graduates.

The news comes just days before Penn State's anticipated Week 2 clash against the Panthers as the Nittany Lions landed at No.4 in the most recent AP and Coaches Poll.

In addition to the flyover, Penn State will unveil the "2016" year on the east suites prior to the game. No time has been announced for when that is slated to happen, but fans can expect the ceremony to happen shortly after both the Pitt and Blue Band have played during pregame.
