Penn State Football: Brandon Bell Becomes First Linebacker to Commit to 2013 Class

Brandon Bell became the first linebacker to verbally commit to Penn State, according to multiple PSU football recruiting websites, including Lions247.

Bell, 6-foot-1, 224 pounds, is the 11th member of the Class of 2013.

The Mays Landing (N.J.) Oakcrest product is rated a three-star prospect by Rivals.com and holds scholarship offers from Boston College, Maryland, West Virginia, Rutgers, Northwestern and Purdue, among others.

Bell's commitment is not binding until he signs a letter of intent in February.
