by on April 10, 2017 12:40 PM

The Philadelphia Eagles have signed former Nittany Lion quarterback Matt McGloin the franchise announced on Monday morning.

McGloin, a Scranton native, has spent the past four seasons with the Oakland Raiders bouncing between backup and starting roles with the team seeing action in seven games in 2013.

In Philadelphia, McGloin will work with now second-year quarterback Carson Wentz as the Eagles look to rebound from an up and down 2016 campaign. Philadelphia brought in former Eagle Nick Foles this offseason and already retain Chase Daniel on the roster.

McGloin isn't the only Penn State player making waves in the City of Brotherly Love. According to multiple reports former Nittany Lion receiver Chris Godwin will workout with the Eagles prior to the NFL Draft at the end of April. Godwin has meetings scheduled with multiple teams including Detroit and Tennessee.
