Penn State Football: Five Star Settle Eying Nittany Lions

by on July 12, 2014 9:20 AM

Penn State football's recruiting class has been one of the best in the nation since it first began to come together. The addition of a five star prospect could really solidify that standing and give James Franklin and his staff something to hang their hat on in only their first year on campus.

That five star prospect? Defensive tackle Tim Settle, a 6-foot-3, 325 pound talent out of Manassas, Va. who has had the Nittany Lions in his sights for a while now. The massive Settle attended camp at Penn State earlier this summer and has continued to keep Penn State and Franklin high on his list.

Where Settle will end up is the big question but according to reports coming out of The Opening event in Oregon, Settle is settling on three of the top schools on his radar, Penn State, Clemson and Tennessee.

It looks as though Settle won't be deciding on a school anytime soon which gives Franklin a chance to sell him on what Happy Valley is all about. Perhaps more importantly for Penn State it might mean Settle could make a trip to State College for a game or two this season -- an experience that has swung plenty of prospects in Penn State's favor over the years.

Penn State's current recruiting class is impressive as it stands right now, but Settle jumping aboard make this class a historic one.
