Penn State Football: Former Nittany Lion And State College Native Jordan Norwood With Super Bowl Record Punt Return

by on February 07, 2016 10:49 PM

Former Penn State receiver and State College native Jordan Norwood made a little history of his own on Sunday night during Super Bowl 50.

The record in question? A 61-yard punt return that set the mark for the longest punt return in Super Bowl history. Seemingly ready to accept a fair catch, Norwood caught the ball, suddenly racing down the left side of the field only to be tackled deep in Carolina territory.

Denver would ultimately settled for a field goal on the ensuing drive but won the game 24-10.
