Penn State Football: Four-Star DT Tabs Nittany Lions

by on August 07, 2017 6:37 PM

Penn State continued its hot streak on the recruiting trail as four-star defensive tackle P.J. Mustipher verbally committed to the Nittany Lions' 2018 class on Monday.

Out of Owing Mills, Md., the 6-foot-4, 290-pound Mustipher makes it 22 commitments for the 2018 haul and the second this month as four-star interior lineman Juice Scruggs committed last Friday.

Mustipher is the No. 6 defensive tackle in his class, according to the 247Sports' Composite rankings, picking schools over the likes of Notre Dame, Maryland, and Tennessee.

Penn State now has room for only a handful of commits in the 2018 class which is ranked No.3 nationally and second best in the Big Ten behind Ohio State.
