Penn State Football: Four-Star Prospects Tab Nittany Lions Saturday Morning

James Franklin and his staff pulled off a double play Saturday morning as Penn State picked up its 18th commit for the Class of 2015 in four-star New Jersey wide receiver Irvin Charles today, and landed its first commit for the Class of 2016 in four-star running back Miles Sanders of Pittsburgh.

Charles, a 6-foot-4, 204-pound receiving target hold offers from a host of schools including Florida, Michigan State, Ohio State, Louisville, Alabama, and Miami. He attends Paul IV High School, and is now the third wide receiver in Penn State’s Class of 2015, joining Juwan Johnson and Brandon Polk. Charles is the No. 8-rankedwide receiver from New Jersey and No. 44 in the country.

Charles is the 11th four-star commit in Penn State's 2015 recruiting class.

The second commitment of the day gets Penn State’s Class of 2016 going with its verbal commitment in Miles Sanders . Sanders checks in at 5-foot-10, 195-pounds and is a native of Pittsburgh. Sanders held offers from plenty of regional rivals including Michigan, Nebraska, Pitt, and Temple. He attends Woodland Hills High School, and is the No. 4 running back in the state for the Class of 2016, according to 247Sports.

Penn State is hosting plenty of top talent this weekend at senior and junior camps to close out the summer.
