Penn State added to its 2020 recruiting class on Friday evening as all-purpose running back Caziah Holmes verbally committed to James Franklin and his staff.

Holmes, a 5-foot-11, 179 pound back from Cocoa, Florida was a favorite to land in Happy Valley according to nearly every recruiting outlet. The four-star prospect is rated the 6th best all-purpose running back in the 2020 class by the 247 Network as he heads into his senior season of high school.

According to the 247 Network, Holmes selected Penn State over Kentucky, Tennessee, and Florida State among others. Penn State's 2020 recruiting class now sits at 22 members, Holmes the only running back in the class so far.

Once at Penn State the Florida native will join an already busy running back room with Deyvn Ford and Noah Cain entering their second seasons in State College while Ricky Slade would likely return with remaining eligibility as well.

Holmes is the sixth, four-star prospect in Penn State's 2020 class, rated third best in the Big Ten and 16th overall in the nation.
