Penn State freshman defensive back Jordan Lucas was cited Monday for purchase, consumption, possession and transportation of an alcoholic beverage, university police records show.

The incident occurred around midnight Aug. 26 in Porter Hall on Penn State’s campus, police said.

Lucas has appeared in two games for the Nittany Lions this season, contributing on special teams.

Wartman Dealing with Knee Injury

Quick note on the injury front to pass along. Freshman linebacker Nyeem Wartman has an undisclosed knee injury, he tweeted Sunday night.

Wartman left Saturday's 17-16 loss to Virginia in the first half and was taken into the locker room for evaluation. Coach Bill O'Brien declined to provide an update on Wartman's status following the game.

Wartman contributed on special teams and backed up Glenn Carson at middle linebacker before the injury. He blocked a punt Sept. 1 against Ohio to set up a second-quarter touchdown.
