Penn State Football: Iowa Game Set For 7:30 Kick On ABC

Penn State’s first visit to Iowa since 2012 will kick at 7:30 p.m. and air on ABC. The Nittany Lions and Hawkeyes square off in Kinnick Stadium for the for the 14th time on Sept. 23.

Penn State is 14-12 all-time against Iowa, including an 8-5 record in Iowa City. Last season, the Nittany Lions defeated the Hawkeyes, 41-14, in front of 106,194 fans in Beaver Stadium. Penn State totaled 599 yards of offense, led by Saquon Barkley’s 211 all-purpose yards (167 rushing, 44 receiving). Quarterbacks Tommy Stevens (70) and Trace McSorley (40) had 110 rushing yards to go along with McSorley’s 240 passing yards.

Every Penn State football game has been televised the past 12 seasons and 289 of the last 291 contests overall have been on TV.

The fifth-ranked Nittany Lions host Georgia State for the first time Saturday at 7:30 p.m. on Big Ten Network as the finale of a three-game non-conference home stand to open the season.
