by on July 18, 2017 2:06 PM

Penn State made it six verbal commitments in nearly as many days as Philadelphia native and four-star safety Isheem Young verbally committed on Tuesday afternoon.

Young, a product of Imhotep Charter, chose Penn State over several other schools in his final list including Clemson, Ohio State and Michigan. He is rated the 10th best safety by Rivals and 114th best prospect for the 2018 recruiting class.

Penn State's 2018 haul now comes in at 20 players following Young's commitment and is generally recognized as the third best in the nation according to multiple recruiting outlets.
