Penn State Football: Lasch Renovations Continue As Summer Goes Along

by on June 07, 2016 2:00 PM

Penn State football's home continues to get its offseason facelift as new lockers are slated for installation in the coming days and weeks according to the program's official Twitter account.

The facilities upgrade is just one of many taking place around the Lasch Football Building, a project relying heavily on donor wallets as the Nittany Lions look to take the next step under head coach James Franklin. The price of getting your name on a locker, a steep $15,000 but apparently incentive enough to get more than a few names to pony up the money.

"Our vision for the future is building the best program in college football," Franklin said last August when the project was announced. "That's not just wins and losses -- that's the number one graduation rate, the number one GPA in the country. It's preparing our guys to be successful in life, but it's also winning football games. Our STUDENT-athletes deserve that, and our fans deserve that too."

The Nittany Lions have also seen upgrades to the weight room and team meeting rooms. A full video of the ongoing renovations can be seen here.
