Penn State Football: Linebacker Mike Hull 'Probable' For Eastern Michigan Game
It looks as though linebacker Mike Hull will be back in action as early as this weekend according to Bill O'Brien in an interview with the Big Ten Network earlier today. Hull, who left the Syracuse game with an undisclosed knee injury and did not return.
"I think he'll be alright," O'Brien said. "We're still checking him out, it's day-to-day, but I would say that he would be probable for Eastern Michigan."
Even if Hull returns to 100 percent by this weekend, depending on the nature of the injury it would not be surprising to see O'Brien rest Hull for an extra week. The Nittany Lions are heavy favorites in their home opener and with linebacker depth in question it may not be a bad idea to get players like Brandon Bell more action as the Big Ten season approaches.
Penn State fans will likely find out on Tuesday the nature of the injury to tight end Math Lehman who was carted off the field early in the game on Saturday with what appeared to be a knee injury.
