Penn State Football: Looks Inside Penn State's Signing Day War Room
Penn State hasn't been the same since James Franklin got to town and that goes for National Signing Day as well. While the recruiting event of the year had been largely ignored by the program over the years from a PR standpoint, Franklin filled the room with media and university figures as the faxes came in.
As each future Nittany Lion made his commitment official, various members of the university took to the podium to announce the news. From Franklin's daughters to the director of the Blue Band it was a sight to see early Wednesday morning. Franklin would then speak with the recruit on the phone as highlights played on four large TVs set up at the front of the room. It may not have been the NFL Draft, but it was a close second in the atmosphere and hype departments.
Check out a few photos from the event inside the Lasch Football Building as Penn State welcomed 20 new student athletes to the program.
