by on October 07, 2019 11:28 AM

Penn State and Michigan will meet under the lights with kickoff slated for 7:30 p.m., both programs announced on Monday.

The Nittany Lions have won 10 of their last 12 night games including a 2017 victory over Michigan the last time the Wolverines traveled to State College. Penn State won three of their last four self-defined night games against Michigan within the confines of Beaver Stadium.

Alternatively, Penn State is just 1-4 in the last five meetings with Michigan coming off a four-game winning streak against the Wolverines that went from 2008 until the four overtime win in 2013. Michigan most recently beat Penn State in 2018 to the tune of 42-7 which followed a 2017 42-13 Penn State thumping of the Wolverines.

That game was the second largest crowd in Beaver Stadium history with 110,823 in attendance, a figure topped a year later against Ohio State with 110,889 on hand.

Penn State and Michigan will both have to get through their respective opponents for their upcoming meaning to hold the most weight. The Nittany Lions travel to Iowa City for a night game clash against the Hawkeyes while Michigan faces Illinois just outside of Chicago for a noon kick.
