Penn State Football: Moorhead Named To Fordham Athletic Hall Of Fame

by on July 19, 2016 2:00 PM

Penn State offensive coordinator Joe Moorhead added another bit of prestige to his coaching resume as it was announced on Monday that Fordham University, Moorhead’s alma mater and where he most recently was head coach, will honor Moorhead in the school’s Athletic Hall Of Fame.

Moorhead graduated from Fordham in 1996 having been the starting quarterback for the previous three seasons. While under center, Moorhead earned second team All-Conference honors his senior year, also serving as a team captain. Moorhead set records for single season and career passing yards and completions for the Rams as well.

Moorhead took over as Fordham’s Head Coach in 2012, taking a team that finished with one win the season before, to a six-win season, and three subsequent top 20 finishes in the FCS.
