Penn State Football: Nittany Lion Pro Day Participants Announced

by on March 08, 2017 12:10 PM

Penn State will host a handful of former Nittany Lions on Thursday, March 16 for its annual Pro Day, a chance for prospective future NFL players to showcase their talents in front of scouts and coaches. While this year's haul of potential pros isn't quite as star-studded as year's past, there's no doubt these former Nittany Lions are looking to make a good impression.

  • Brandon Bell
  • Brian Gaia
  • Chris Godwin
  • Malik Golden
  • Wendy Laurent
  • Irvine Paye
  • Evan Schwan
  • Garrett Sickels
  • Jordan Smith
  • Nyeem Wartman-White
  • Tyler Yazujian

Godwin and Sickels will take part in the event after their recent testing at the NFL Combine. For players like Godwin and Sickels it's unlikely that either will go through the full battery of testing, rather retesting in any area they feel they improve on from the combine.

For the rest, in particular Bell and Wartman-White, both coming off of injuries, it's an opportunity to not only showcase their physical assets but their improved health.

While 2017's Pro Day might be relatively low key, the 2018 edition will undoubtedly be a circus with the likes of Mike Gesicki and potentially Saquon Barkley both testing in addition to Marcus Allen and others who will see their last season in the Blue and White.
