by on May 16, 2018 10:55 AM

It doesn't get much more entertaining than this as Penn State will travel to face Pitt for a night showdown in Pittsburgh on Sept. 8. The Keystone Classic will air on ABC according to the network.

The Nittany Lions face Pitt for the third game of the four-game series. Penn State is 51-43-4 all-time against the Panthers.

Last season, the Nittany Lions avenged its 2017 loss to Pitt with a 33-14 win over the Panthers at Beaver Stadium. Saquon Barkley had 88 rushing yards and 45 receiving yards, while Mike Gesicki had four catches for 39 yards.

As a small point of trivia, every Penn State football game has been televised the past 13 seasons and 301 of the last 303 contests overall have been on TV.

This will be a new-look Penn State team as the Nittany Lions return 13 starters but replace plenty of old faces with fresh ones across teh roster. The Nittany Lions are looking to win 11 games in a season for the third consecutive year.

Penn State opens the season at Beaver Stadium against Appalachian State September 1.
