Penn State Football: Nittany Lions Set To Host Ohio State In Primetime

by on September 17, 2018 11:26 AM

Surprise, surprise.

Penn State and Ohio State will be featured as the “Saturday Night Football” game on ABC at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29. The Nittany Lions and Buckeyes meet in primetime for the fourth time in five years.

Quickly turning into one of the best ongoing series in college football, the last two contests have been decided by a total of four points. The last time the teams met in the Penn State White Out in 2016,  it was one to remember as Marcus Allen blocked a late field goal attempt and Grant Haley scooped it up and returned it 60 yards for the game-winning touchdown.

In 2017 the Buckeyes returned the favor with a 19-point fourth quarter for a comeback 39-38 victory over the No. 2 ranked Nittany Lions.

Prior to the showdown in Beaver Stadium, No. 10/9 Penn State travels to Illinois for a 9 p.m. kickoff on Friday. No. 4 Ohio State hosts Tulane at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
