Penn State Football: Nittany Lions Take Part in THON Weekend
More than 70 of Bill O'Brien's finest spent Saturday afternoon giving tours of the Lasch Football Building as part of Penn State's THON weekend.
The recipients of the tours, 28 children and families from the Make-A-Wish Foundation, spent time in the Nittany Lions locker room trying on pads, taking photos and seeing all of the sights and sounds that the Lasch Building has to offer.
"We can't dance, we can't be a part of a lot of this, but this is a way for us to give back and be a part," running back Zach Zwinak said. "They don't care who you are, they want your picture, your autograph, I really look forward to being a part of this. It's a great day."
"I've been a part of this for two years now," All-Big Ten wide receiver Allen Robinson said. "It really puts a lot of things into perspective."
"I heard a couple kids joke about all the things we have been through as a school," Robinson said "But it still doesn't compare to what these kids are going through and have been through in their life."
