by on October 30, 2016 2:35 PM

Coming off a 62-24 victory over Purdue this past weekend Penn State moved up four spots in the latest AP poll, coming in at No. 20.

Penn State entered the land of the ranked last week following a 24-21 upset over No. 2 Ohio State. The Nittany Lions picked up a ranking for the first time since 2011.

The Big Ten has five ranked teams in the Top 25 with Michigan topping the group at No.2. Ohio State, Wisconsin and Nebraska come in at No. 6, 8, and 9, respectively.

Penn State will take on Iowa this weekend with kick slated for 7:30 p.m. The Nittany Lions will then travel to Indiana and Rutgers before heading back to Beaver Stadium to finish out the regular season against Michigan State. At 6-2 Penn State is bowl eligible for the third straight year.

The Nittany Lions are ranked No. 23 in the coaches poll. Penn State was not ranked in that poll last week but did receive votes.

On Tuesday the Playoff Top 25 rankings will be released for the first time this season.
