Penn State Football: Nittanyville Yet Another Sign Of Football's Return

by on September 01, 2016 6:00 AM

Nothing says Penn State football is back quite like tents outside of Beaver Stadium. With a light drizzle falling on Happy Valley a dozen or so tents popped up along the front of Gate A. From there even more and more students surrounded a line of garbage cans using the otherwise dirty bins to count out the beats to various fight songs.

The crowd will almost certainly grow especially as the season goes along and the value of great seats for big games continues to rise.

But for now a few dozen students marked the return of Penn State football and the best and sometimes worst of college football. A blind devotion to a team, a sport and a university. For better or worse it's what the makes the sport so great.

And that sport is finally back.
