Penn State Football: Opener And Other Games Get Kick Times, Broadcast Details

Penn State's schedule is becoming that much clearer as television networks began to release additional kick times on Thursday afternoon.

The Nittany Lions will begin their quest for a third-straight 10-win season as they face Appalachian State, Sept. 1. at 3:30 p.m. on the Big Ten Network. As previously announced, Penn State will then take to the road road for an 8 p.m. meeting against Pittsburgh on Sept. 8. That game will air on ABC.

Back in State College, Penn State will host familiar foe Kent State on Sept. 15. That game will kick at noon on FS1. Penn State will then take on Illinois in Champaign on Friday, Sept. 21 at 9 p.m. EST but 8:00 local. The game will air on FS1, the first Friday game in Penn State's history and the first year of Friday games in the Big Ten.

Homecoming against Michigan State will begin at 3:30 or 4 p.m. on Oct. 13. Network details have not yet been released for that game.

Finally, Penn State’s will face Indiana at a time to be determined, but it was announced that the game will be broadcast live on either ABC, ESPN or ESPN2.

The first four weeks of Penn State's season in total will kick at 3:30, 8:00, Noon, and 9:00 (EST, 8:00 local)

Kick times for games against Ohio State, Michigan and others will be announced at a later date.
