Penn State Football: Pitt Game Ticket Prices Continue To Rise On Secondary Market

by on June 22, 2016 6:00 AM

The good news: If you want to get to a Penn State football game this fall ticket prices on the secondary market are continuing to drop. The bad news: If you want to see Penn State play Pitt, you're going to have to shell out the money in order to do so.

As of late March, StubHub listed prices for the cheapest ticket for the Penn State/Pitt game at $154. While that figure hasn't exactly rocketed since then, a mid June check shows that the cheapest ticket to see the Nittany Lions play their long time in-state rival go up to $159.

Interestingly enough that's the most expensive ticket home or away for any game Penn State plays in this season. Even the Nittany Lions hosting Ohio State is "just" $130 and that's down from $150 in March. In total every game on Penn State's schedule has seen a decrease in secondary market tickets with the cheapest against Purdue coming in at just $28.

These figures will undoubetly change as the season draws closer and even during the year when storylines and stakes change, nevertheless, it's safe to assume seeing Penn State take on the Panthers isn't going to get any cheaper and may even continue to slowly rise as the Week 2 matchup gets closer and closer.

But if Penn State can make something special happen in Year 3 under James Franklin, a Michigan State ticket on Senior Day for just $55 might be the steal of the year.
