Penn State Football: Two Nittany Lions Set To Play In Super Bowl

by on January 22, 2018 1:52 PM

Penn State will be well represented in this year's Super Bowl. At least two Nittany Lions will take the field in Minneapolis as the Philadelphia Eagles face the New England Patriots.

For the Patriots, the unique story of former Penn State lacrosse player Chris Hogan will continue as the wideout is slated to play in his second straight Super Bowl with New England.

The Patriots made the Super Bowl on Sunday following a 24-20 comeback victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Hogan had two receptions for 20 yards during that game.

Across the field Eagles' guard Stefen Wisniewski will continue his strong play on the Philadelphia offensive front. The Eagles punched their ticket to their first first Super Bowl since 2004 with a convincing 38-7 win over Minnesota in the NFC Championship game on Sunday night in Philadelphia.

A New England win would make Hogan just the seventh Penn State player to win the Super Bowl twice.

As for Wisniewski, a Philadelphia win would bring his family, deep with NFL ties, its first championship ring.
