Penn State Holds Steady At No. 13 In Latest AP Poll

by on September 15, 2019 2:11 PM

Penn State is holding steady at No. 13 in the latest AP Top 25 following a 17-10 victory over Pitt on Saturday afternoon. The Nittany Lions are joined by Wisconsin at the No. 13 spot as the rankings are determined by a point system which allows for ties.

Clemson continues to round out the Top 25 at the top spot while Ohio State holds at No. 6 as the highest ranked Big Ten team in the nation.

Across the conference Michigan sits at No. 11, down a spot from last week while Iowa moved up a place to No. 18 following a win over Iowa State.

The Nittany Lions next opponent in Maryland dropped out of the Top 25 following a loss to Temple in Philadelphia on Saturday. The Terrapins had only just cracked the rankings but did not receive any points in this week's poll.

Michigan State is the highest unranked team in the conference while Minnesota continues to be "others receiving votes" with a single point in the poll.

With the vast majority of out of conference play coming to close this week, the Top 25 will be far less stable as teams set out to face familiar conference foes and far tougher opponents.
