Penn State's Homecoming Executive Committee revealed the university 2011 Homecoming logo during the Blue-White Game this weekend.
The image was unveiled during halftime. Posted to the right of this text, it's meant to embody the "Forever Lions-Endless Pride" official theme for Homecoming 2011, according to the committee.
"It (the logo) really encompasses the idea that once you are a Lion, you forever appreciate the pride that runs through this university and community," 2011 Homecoming Executive Director Leah Matusow said in a news release.
A university graphic-design course taught by Kristen Sommese gave the Executive Committee about 20 potential logos to choose from, according to the release. A design by Ryan Ulsh is what's reflected in the image chosen for 2011.
It will be used on all merchandise, flyers and posters promoting Homecoming. A video promotion highlights the logo.
Homecoming Week in 2011 is scheduled for Oct. 9 to Oct. 15.
