Penn State Police Investigate Reported Rape

University police are launching an investigation after a reported rape on the Penn State Campus.

The incident happened in a dorm at the Pollock residence halls.

According to University Police Chief Tyrone Parham the attack took place sometime between Sept. 4 and Sept. 5.

Police first learned of the alleged attack Friday.

Parham says, "The victim is a female student and the suspect was a male known to her. The investigation has just begun and is continuing."

No arrests were announced. Officers say the offenses include forcible rape, aggravated indecent assault and indecent assault.
