Penn State Police Investigating Burglaries in Campus Offices

Penn State police are investigating two burglaries that reportedly occurred in unlocked campus offices on Friday, according to Timely Warnings sent by the university.

Police said the first reported burglary occurred at about 2 p.m. on Friday, when an unknown person entered unlocked offices in Oswald Tower and removed personal items.

The other occurred sometime between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Friday at Grange Building, similarly involving an unknown actor entering unlocked offices and taking personal items.

The Oswald Tower incident was reported on Friday and the Grange Building incident was reported on Monday morning. Both buildings are located on central campus off Pollock Road.

Police did not provide the value of the items taken.

Anyone with information about either alleged burglary is asked to contact Penn State police at 814-863-1111.

Police advised taking or securing valuables if leaving for an extended period of time, ensuring that doors and windows are locked and reporting suspicious persons, vehicles or activities to the police department.
