Penn State Police Log, May 19th, 2008

  • A staff member reported a broken window at Boucke Building.  The total value of the damage was estimated at $100.
  • A staff member reported someone damaged a door and vent screen at the Waste Water Treatment Plant.  The total value of the damage was estimated at $500.
  • Criminal charges were filed at Magisterial District Judge Jonathan D. Grine's office against Lukasz M. Kaniewski, 805 Kent Road, Yardley, PA.  Kaniewski was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substance and a traffic violation.  The charges stem from an incident which occurred May 17th, 2008 at Park Avenue and Allen Street.
  • Criminal charges were filed at Magisterial District Judge Jonathan D. Grine's office against Erin M. Smeltzer, 333 Arbor Way, State College, PA.  Smeltzer was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substance and a summary traffic violation.  The charges stem from an incident which occurred May 18th, 2008 at Burrowes Road and West Beaver Avenue.
  • A criminal charge was filed at District Judge Carmine W. Prestia's office against Nathan C. Fisher, RD #3, Box 95, Tyrone, PA.  Fisher was charged with false reports to law enforcement authorities.  The charges stem from an incident which occurred March 25th, 2008 at Redifer Commons.  Another charge was filed against Fisher for theft by unlawful taking or disposition and receiving stolen property.  That charge stems from an incident which occurred February 15th, 2008 at Redifer Commons.
