Penn State Women's Volleyball: Lions Grab Top Seed in NCAA Tournment, Start Title Run Friday at Rec Hall

Penn State earned the No. 1 overall seed for the upcoming NCAA tournament and will start its championship run against Binghamton on Nov. 30 at Rec Hall.
The Nittany Lions have won four of the last five national titles and would face the winner of Yale-Bowling Green on Dec. 1 were they to advance to the second round.
Penn State's road to Louisville, Ky. for the national championship runs through West Lafayette, Ind. Minnesota, Florida State and Kentucky are the other seeded teams in Penn State's region.

The Penn State women’s volleyball team will surely be a No. 1 seed when the field for the NCAA tournament is announced at 4 p.m. Sunday.
The top-ranked Nittany Lions (29-2, 19-1 Big Ten) swept Michigan State on Saturday night at Rec Hall to cap their regular season at Rec Hall.
Freshman Megan Courtney led the Lions with nine kills, and Ariel Scott and Katie Slay each added eight kills. Penn State was dominant defensively, outblocking the Spartans, 14-2, and holding them to a 0.029 hitting percentage.
The NCAA tournament starts next weekend.
