Penn State’s Student-Run Farm Going Strong
At the intersection of Fox Hollow and Big Hollow roads you'll find a farm run almost entirely by Penn State students, and May marks its one-year anniversary.
"We exceeded expectations in our first year of growing out on the 1-acre pilot site," said Haley Hoch, Student Farm co-director. "We went above and beyond what we could have possibly hoped."
Hoch said the club sold more than 10,000 pounds of produce in its first year, but that the biggest emphasis is on education and community-building.
Centre County Report's Amanda Schmidt takes a closer look at the Penn State Student Farm as it approaches its first anniversary.
