Officials from the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) announced Wednesday that the organization is suspending new in-state student loans.

A report in the Daily Collegian states that the PHEAA changes will take effect March 7th.  University officials say that Penn State's 40,000 students should be impacted by the loan suspension, noting that students will just have to choose a different lender.
