Police: Delivery Driver Assaulted in State College Robbery

A delivery driver was assaulted late Monday in a strong-arm robbery in State College, borough police said.

It happened about 11:20 p.m. near 141 E. Fairmount Ave., according to a news release.

Police said the assailant demanded money from the delivery driver and fled the area in a silver or gray Dodge Neon.

The assailant is described as a tall, thin, white man standing about six feet tall, according to the release. Police are asking anyone with information to call them at (814) 234-7150.

Anonymous tips may be submitted through the borough police website. Police did not immediately release any other details about the incident.
