A 21-year-old man will be charged after he intruded in a downtown apartment and confronted someone late Saturday, State College police said.

About 9:45 p.m., the man, apparently confused and intoxicated, went into the wrong residence at 418 E. College Ave. and confronted a resident in a bathroom there, according to a police report.

The man pushed the resident and caused damage in the apartment, the report shows, though specifics were not immediately available Sunday.

Charges had not been formalized as of Sunday afternoon, so the man's name was not released. Police said trespassing, criminal-mischief and harassment charges are pending.

In other news that police reported Sunday:

• Two people involved in a fight at 3 a.m. Saturday will be charged with simple assault, police said. No injuries were noted in the incident, which happened in a third-floor apartment at 646 E. College Ave., according to a police report.

• A large fight was reported about 2 a.m. Saturday on the 300 block of South Pugh Street, police said. A man apparently was knocked unconscious, but he was carried away and couldn't be located when police arrived at the scene, an incident report shows.

• Two laptop computers were reported stolen from a residence at 830 S. Allen St. It happened between 11:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, according to a police report. Police said no forced entry was apparent.
