Police Investigating Assault at State College Bar

State College police are looking for help identifying a suspect involved in an alleged simple assault at a downtown bar.

Police said the incident occurred at about 12:15 a.m. on March 17 at The Shandygaff, 217 East Calder Way. A white, college-aged male allegedly hit another person in the head with a drink pitcher. The suspect then immediately left the bar with a college-aged female.

The victim required medical treatment, police said.

Anyone who may have information about the incident is asked to contact the State College Police Department at (814) 234-7150, by email or by submitting an anonymous tip through the department's website.
