State College Police on Tuesday released surveillance images and details on the robbery of a downtown market last week.

At about 3:51 p.m. on Friday, a male, who did not appear to have a weapon, entered Krishan Indian Grocery Store, 230 W. College Ave., and demanded money. After taking an undisclosed amount of cash from the register, he fled on foot westbound on West College Avenue to the parking lot of California Tortilla, 322 W. College Ave., where he had previously parked a car, police said.

The suspect is described as a white male who appeared to be in his 30s. He is approximately 5 feet 3 inches tall and was wearing a white and black scarf, a black coat, black pants and black shoes.

Police said that based on surveillance images the car is believed to be a gray or brown Dodge Intrepid with all but the rear driver-side wheel missing hubcaps. It appeared to have damage to its passenger-side front corner and side with black tape around the front passenger door.

Anyone who may have information regarding this incident is asked to contact the State College Police Department at (814) 234-7150, by email or by submitting an anonymous tip through the department's website.
